Praise the Lord for opportunities to share and divine appointments when you least expect it.
I had a small amount of duties this OC, giving me time to rest and fellowship with friends and interstate delegates. However, through ministering at the healing workshop to a few unknown girls, one of them, who had been touched by God during the ministry time, introduced herself to me before dinner on Saturday. She also introduced her friend. He was also at the healing workshop earlier. The guy and I chatted briefly, and he asked a question that made my 'evax' antenna go off. "So are you a christian too?"
I was thinking, 'Man, if I'm not a christian then what am I doing in a full-on christian convention". So I asked ,"are you?"
He said, "80%. Sometimes I think I am, sometimes not."
RIGHHHHHHTTT....
I prayed silently to God for wisdom and that began a almost 1 and a half hour conversation about God, salvation, the cross, heaven and hell, until dinner was over. My interstate friend also joined me and showed much wisdom and grace in speaking about the things of God.
We could finally sense spiritual breakthrough at the end. he said his eyes had been opened to many new truths. We offered to pray for him, which he gladly accepted. We encouraged to make a total commitment to Christ soon.
I went away from the conversation rejoicing because God had placed such a divine opportunity to explain his salvation and his great love, and also the scriptural concept of heaven and hell to a seeker in the middle of convention. The person is in God's hands and i have no doubt God will do a great work in him.
One must always be ready to give an answer to those who are seeking, whenever and wherever the chance turns up.
Praise God for the privilege of sharing about Him!
