...That's when I'm grumpy and pessimistic. I have a ton of work to do. But I've been procrastinating. And I haven't been able to focus. And I feel torn in bits wondering where to sink my roots, if I should sink my roots anywhere at all. Of course everyone wants you to invest in them and commit to them. But that doesn't mean I should. My shoulders and back are very very tight and I need a good remedial massage or the headaches are going to continue. I need a desk. I need a chair with a good back. I need an audio interface and the works. Most of all, I need motivation.

With All I Am This is the second song I recorded with Nicky Lee at GOODTV（李玖哲）. Again, argh, wasn't perfect. Some pitching issues here and there. Happens when you don't have ear monitors or any really close fold-back. But I praise God for any opportunity I get to serve, to use my giftings, to meet new people, to meet influential people, to build a portfolio. Surely this is the fun-nest year I've had in terms of doing new stuff musically!! Enjoy and feel free to share around as well to bless someone with the worship that's in the clip. I don't know if I've ever blogged about my musical partner-in-crime and one of my close pals, John Ong. I have many nicknames for him...the Ongstar, Johnnie Ongstar, Maestro Ong etc. Our friendship didn't really have a great start. We were both introduced to each other by enthusiastic church mates who thought 2 musicians should immediately click. Both of us were thinking exactly the same thing, "Is he/she really as good as people are saying? Gotta take this with a pinch of salt". When people suggested we should jam sometime, I was like,"yea sure.." while thinking, 'hmmm. maybe not...we'll see'. And he was thinking exactly the same thing. LOL.  I was touring with ‘有情天’(Heaven-Tunes) this Sunday. It's a worship organization that releases worship CD's here. Was called to fill in for a sister-in-Christ who normally tours with them but was not feeling too well and had clashing commitments. So, I learnt 13 new songs in 4 days, and soloed for a good number of them. Scary but I took it up because I should be learning more Chinese songs and I should be singing live more [though I do weekly for church]. Also, if I'm going to be singing and touring a lot in the future, I better training myself now to stretch the strength of my voice and physical body. It's better to stuff up when you're unknown and hidden by the Lord than when you're prominent and in the public eye.  I WAS tired out by the weekend, and quite stressed a couple of days before. But I've been more aware of the anointing and empowerment of the Lord when I step on that platform. It's almost strange actually, because playing keys on worship f...

Sorry for such a long title. But I feel compelled to post my 2 cents.  I felt like listening to 'Baby' by Justin Bieber. Trust me, it was one of those rare moments that I felt like  VERY commercial radio pop. I clicked on his youtube video with 37 million ++ views [that's NUTS] and I saw something that made me think.  Justin's a young kid. 15/16? He's singing about his 'baby', his first love. Sweet right? But I saw Justin pull the reach over and pull the jacket of the girl he was interested in, to pull her to himself almost against her will. And I was thinking: "Actually, a guy did that to me, I would be thinking, 'HOW DISRESPECTFUL!' ". Is it really cool to tell young gals all around the world that it's the coolest thing for to get into BGR when you're 13, and have silly teenage flings with immature teenage guys?  Wonder if it's possible for children to be children anymore?  Another video was 'Fireworks' by Katy Per...

Kinda excited because it's my sort of 'debut' on the GOOD TV channel. Not really I guess, because I've been featured before playing piano for different artists and I've arranged quite a few songs for the Quiet Time (宁静时分) program. But this is a feature of me actually singing back-up and playing piano for Nicky Lee (American Korean who sings in Mandarin). ALSO, had excellent feedback for my arrangements for 'All for Love'（为了爱). It's the first track featured in this video. Below are some comments of people liking the arrangements. People don't normally comment on arrangements, they usually talk about the singers. So I'm really really pumped that people really like this one. I think humans cannot live without the outdoors. God's creation is still the best for our senses. I've hardly seen any trees and nice landscapes in Taipei and it makes me a bit starved for greenery sometimes. But yesterday, we were biking from the south to the north of Taipei.公馆 －－》 关渡。The scenery along the sea was lovely. Great for photography buffs!! HEAPS of fun biking as fast as we could in a group, and trying to evade all the silly overtakers or people who ride REALLY slowly and jam everyone up on narrow lanes.  It was sunny for the first time since I came back to Taipei.
