If the words that define my message are Destiny (and calling) . Dreams (and Vision). Difference(Change for the better). Depth Divine WHAT SORT OF MUSIC WOULD I WRITE? STYLISTICALLY AND LYRICALLY? I want to add one more word. DANCE. In that word, I want to convey being ALIVE. Not dead and dabbling with the shallow waters of life. But LIVING. Feeling love, pain, suffering, joy, esctasy..all KEENLY. Ah. I found the word PASSION!!! Probably not bubblegum pop. Maybe not old-school, straight ahead jazz. Nothing particularly hedonistic or club-by. African-American gospel tinge? Maybe. Soul? Accoustic stuff? Still thinking. Still love the liveliness of Latin music. Would welcome suggestions. Man....this is difficult.

I've been reading up and testing out a few things quite deliberately. I've been trying to explore my Mac a little more to utilise it fully. It is the most expensive material thing that I've invested into. I need to make sure I get my money's worth...and more. :) With the 'rebukes' of many techie Melancholic Choleric producers echoing in my mind, I'm trying to find out how to use Garageband and perhaps graduate to Logic Express when I am ready. I don't think I want to invest HEAVILY into being a producer or audio engineer because I am not gifted in the area of gizmos and gadgets. BUT, I do need a little bit of knowledge to be better that producing my own demos efficiently. I did a few multi-intelligence tests yesterday and the results differed slightly from each other. But overall, I scored most highly for Musical Intelligence[well, Duh...I guess]. Linguistic Intelligence ranked 2nd in all the tests I did. Intrapersonal Intelligence was next followed closely by Interpersonal intelligence. My visual/spatial, logical-mathematical and naturalist intelligence scored badly. Body/Kinesthetic Intellience was average. Musical Intelligence Strengths: Rhythm and Music People who have strong musical intelligence are good and thinking in patterns, rhythms and sounds. They have a strong appreciation for music and are often good at musical composition and performance. Linguistic-Verbal Intelligence Strengths: Words, Language and Writing People who are strong in linguistic-verbal intelligence are able to use words well, both when writing and speaking. I generally reflect a lot. And I feel even more.It brings me to great heights and plunging depths. My recent topic of reflection has been my old school mates. I was trying to find out what had become of a few of them who had chosen to do music like I did. There were about 3-4 more who did. They took the road that is not often trodden upon and furthered their music locally or overseas. These people were friends or church/school mates of mine at one time or another. Some were even my closest friends at one point in time. And they are all musical, in varying degrees. Perhaps not the most intellectual and academic people in the world. But then, many are not. Coming back after 7 years, one thing about them saddens me. Their faith is....definitely not burning bright. I was comparing my own journey to them. I think they have progressed in music technology further than I have [some of them]. I think they might have achieved a little bit more here and there than I have. Played more gigs. Won mo...

I would really like to work on a Disney soundtrack. I don't think I have enough experience or orchestral scoring expertise to be in charge of a whole soundtrack. But I would love to co-compose some stuff for one great cartoon. :). I would also love to sing one tune that will be part of the Disney archive. I grew up with Disney tunes and I love many of them. It would be great to have that opportunity. Maybe it's time to start doing some courses in film scoring. Well, God, you heard me.
