I'm going to another interview on Monday 11am so do keep me in your prayers. When people usually ask me, "Where do you work?", it's really hard to answer. I work all around Brisbane.
Now, I might take on a new job that adds on 10-15 more hours of work a week[shuddering with anticipation and a little fear]. This agency links you with different high schools/primary schools in the mornings to teach students music. It will be a new experience but it's always good to challenge myself.
The new place in Hendra was challenging and still is. I deal with all sorts of Aussie people, including weird personalities, really slow kids, 'actress' moms etc. In Sunnybank, the kids that I deal with are pretty normal Asian kids. Nowadays, I don't even think that teaching in Sunnybank feels like work anymore because I'm so used to the people and the routine.:)
Teaching has been interesting. It is quite a wearying job because you are dealing with people all the time. I am trying to be as excellent about it as I can [principle of be faithful with little and God will entrust more to you]. Research, start practicing, actually do extra work at home...
I like my workplace in Hendra. With good management, businesses flourish and expand easily. Good service is provided both to the customer and the teachers. My boss pays people on time, he is polite and accomodating. Firm to the clients, yet merciful once in a while when circumstances call for it. He sets a high standard for his employees. But he rewards them well with fairly good pay and perks like staff dinners and constant moral support.
Learning a lot.....Hope to learn more.
