Conclusions of the morning

I concluded something from my morning's readings of Genesis.

God is weird and so unpredictable.

God-encounters are so weird. So supernatural. So abnormal.

Angels ascend and descend in Bethel.

God wrestles with Jacob and knocks his hip out of whack.

God tells Laban not to say anything bad or good to Jacob.

God sends fire through the covenant animals that are in set in halves. [Abraham]

God tells people to go to somewhere random that they don't know.

Jacob meets angels in Manaheim.

Abraham feeds angels.

Weird.

And I want more of it.

I am tired of conventional ideas that are tame and tasteless and soul-killing.

God is wild and good. He does whatever he likes. And He is usually not boring!!
