Heidi Baker

I haven't researched about her yet. I've only heard that Heidi and Roland Baker are missionaries in Mozambique. They move in signs and wonders and they feed the hungry there. They've planted thousands of churches.

I had a little surprise when I heard her on the Bethel Podcast yesterday. She started singing and pressing into the presence of God about 4 mins into the sermon. WHOA. The anointing was coming out of the sound and washing over me....

She pressed in and started prophesying. The anointing came wooshwooshwoosh. It's never happened to me over podcast before. I instantly joined her in prayer and felt the electricity tingles of the tangible presence of God.I have felt it before at a Delirious concert when Martin Smith came out with a simple guitar to sing 'What a friend I've found'. But that was live.

God is interesting. I had been wondering about the mystery of power and anointing for a while. It's sometimes soooo ... mystical. When I get a little cynical and discouraged about it, someone like Heidi Baker shows up and blows my mind away.

There's something so awesome about the anointing. I want it. Because I don't want to be someone who is labouring without power.

Fear and Faith

I wish I could get rid of this feeling of underlying fear that grips me once in a while. After every high there is an inevitable crash. Or when I wake up, it's really hard to face the day not quite knowing what you should do or what the goal is in the end.  I can picture this trembling kid in my mind, who's quite desperate to cling on to something for safety and comfort. And that kid is me. But the kid's alone. And there's no one to actually to hang on to, and nothing to hug, not even a pillow. But the kid is also wary of clinging on to anything because that might prove disastrous, as it has in the past. You get entangled with unnecessary things or people So,  Kid is stuck with just holding nothing. Waiting.  I mean, it's not like God never warned or foretold that this journey would be lonely, I'd be seemingly alone, but He would be with me. I would look like I was wobbly but He would uphold me.
