I'm surprised at myself that it has taken this long for me to visit the youth service of the Bread of Life Church in Taipei (台北灵粮堂). Somehow it just never happened the last month I was here. It's on Saturday evening, and that's an awkward time for me sometimes. My landlord wants to take us out on Saturdays. I've visited 2 other church services in the past month. So yea, I visited for the first time today because there was a life-group related event after. I haven't posted proper pics in a while. It's all been boring text for the ADD generation. So, here goes.
Next we went to 猫空,the Taipei equivalent to a Mt Cootha sort of look out/chill-out area. But about 100 times better. Tea-houses stream the whole mountain top and they are very pretty. Ambience is terrific. Food is great there and we had a life-group activity there. Heaps of fun. Top marks. That's a tea house. It's not on fire. Those are just lights. :) At times like these, I am thinking, "Alvin Vun + Daniel Le, where are you guys? Need your cameras!!! You would love taking pictures at this mountain "
The gals in the life-group. A handful are visitors. Made a couple more new friends. Great bunch of fun-loving but also Jesus-loving people. Yes, look at me in pink, sticking out like a .... sore rose?
Eva (逸凡) is a singer-songwriter/arranger too. She is heaps funny, is married, looks reeedeeeculously young for her age[won't tell you her age], and has been one of those I talk to more in the group [since she introduced me to it]. I met her last year. She was one of my first contacts in Taiwan.
A funny married couple in the group.

There were thousands there. Bread of Life is one of the largest churches in Taiwan. I've visited 3 of the larger churches in Taiwan. New Life Church, The Home of Christ church, and Bread of Life church. This is a shot of the people on stage minus the musicians. Praise and worship was lively and active. The congregation was heaps responsive too. The message was about authority, a culture of honour, and the unity of different generations. Sounds familiar, yeap, Bread of Life is doing a series on Bill Johnson's stuff. And Kris Valloton is speaking at a prophetic conference in September here. I am so signing up! Bread of Life often has international speakers at their services, and they incorporate slightly more English terms/phrases into their services compared to the other churches.
