Gigs and (G-rated half-of-the-crowd Christian) industry parties

So far I've shown everyone some pics of Taiwan with church, friends and my landlord's family. Here are some musical doings in Taiwan (yes, I AM here to do music)

This is 酷爱.

They are a rock duo and I saw them at a live-house in New Life Church (who holds gigs at their basement/live-house. They are pretty good, pitch perfect [the singer] and full of stage presence.

Singer's pretty good - looking too. Bit of a Johnny Depp kinda look.

娃娃（魏如萱）

A LOVELY singer...but her songs are really complex and deep. And non mainstream.

I'd pay to go for her live shows because she has great vocal technique and expressveness.

But maybe I wouldn't get a CD.

Singing at a wedding. My first gig of sorts here.

I had fun. It wasn't in Chinese so I wasn't pressured much.

A creative industry party I attended tonight. Rapper with four dancers.

It was G-rated: no sex, a very little booze, no drugs, no smoking.

Just lots of flashy lights, party music, a little food, and a few performances that were pretty ok.

More fun, everyday stuff later.

Fear and Faith

I wish I could get rid of this feeling of underlying fear that grips me once in a while. After every high there is an inevitable crash. Or when I wake up, it's really hard to face the day not quite knowing what you should do or what the goal is in the end. I can picture this trembling kid in my mind, who's quite desperate to cling on to something for safety and comfort. And that kid is me. But the kid's alone. And there's no one to actually to hang on to, and nothing to hug, not even a pillow. But the kid is also wary of clinging on to anything because that might prove disastrous, as it has in the past. You get entangled with unnecessary things or people So, Kid is stuck with just holding nothing. Waiting. I mean, it's not like God never warned or foretold that this journey would be lonely, I'd be seemingly alone, but He would be with me. I would look like I was wobbly but He would uphold me.
