Thanks Jos for this really random award :-) I am now a stylish blogger?? :-P It's been a long while since I've participated in this whole chain tagging thingy.

Ok. Now for the rules:

7 things about Charis
  1. I really like food, but I'm more about quality than quantity. Japanese food is on top of the list. The idea of raw fish makes me drool....
  2. I'm tri-lingual and bi-dialect? I speak and write English, Mandarin and Malay. I can converse in Hokkien [day-to-day conversation] and Cantonese [I understand it but my accent is  a little odd and speech considered 'halting']
  3. Recently more and more into exercise and fitness. Needful when I like to eat. Usual routine includes aerobics and some light weights (Recent new year present to myself: a pair of dumb-bells]
  4. I can be very noisy and chatty, or very quiet and withdrawn. It depends on how early it is. The earlier it is, the quieter and grumpier I am. The closer it gets to midnight, the more awake I am. Yup. I'm a typical musician and night-owl. My best ideas come to me at 2am. 
  5. My blood pressure is too low and my cholesterol is too high. Sigh. Hereditary traits.
  6. People seem to know what I'm passionate about more than I do. Sometimes. Well, top passions: God, People, Music, Food, Dance. 
  7. I'm Korean with a Bejing accent. or Taiwanese with an American accent. Kiddin'. But as I travel more, my identity and persona gets really mixed-up. It really depends on what language I'm speaking or what I'm wearing for the day. These were comments by strangers who met me for the first time.
I don't really know if I have 15 people to tag. Everyone on the list? Um. Miranda, Jasmine, Chris/Esther, Allister, Celina, Caitlyn, Sulyn, Diana....help help

Fear and Faith

I wish I could get rid of this feeling of underlying fear that grips me once in a while. After every high there is an inevitable crash. Or when I wake up, it's really hard to face the day not quite knowing what you should do or what the goal is in the end.  I can picture this trembling kid in my mind, who's quite desperate to cling on to something for safety and comfort. And that kid is me. But the kid's alone. And there's no one to actually to hang on to, and nothing to hug, not even a pillow. But the kid is also wary of clinging on to anything because that might prove disastrous, as it has in the past. You get entangled with unnecessary things or people So,  Kid is stuck with just holding nothing. Waiting.  I mean, it's not like God never warned or foretold that this journey would be lonely, I'd be seemingly alone, but He would be with me. I would look like I was wobbly but He would uphold me.
