Healing

Teaching the vocal CDS at Gold Coast church was fun. It was a privilege to serve God in this area. But it was just the icing on the cake. What was really the 'meat' of the day was the service. The presence of God was thick and strong. Occasionally, when the anointing is strong, I feel tangible electricity prickles on my finger. Tonight was one of those nights. The church worshipped and pressed in. I felt alone in that secret place with God. It was amazing. Belle preached such an anointed sermon on being happy [the Be-attitudes]. It spoke to so many. There was challenge and encouragement; and faith just rose up within me. My recent contemplation has been on the goodness of God. Somehow, it's been hard to think of God as always good and always wanting the best for me. And always wanting me, essentially, to be blessed and happy because he loves me. Today, the prophetic word came. Here are some parts of it, " You are so dearly loved" " God says to you, 'beaut...

A busy Saturday

I had a packed day. But it was heaps of fun! Waking up at 8.30am, Barbara sent us to Sunnybank, saving us the trek there. Thanks Barbara! I taught for an hour, was fed delicious custard Danish and tea, and Rach picked me up. Rach and I then had a sumptous home-made breakfast[made by moi ] in my house, which is very nice btw. One of the great gifts from God. It remains airy and cool in the hot weather. It's pretty and well-maintained. It's reasonably priced. Thanks God!MWAH, big kiss from me. And another big kiss for a friend like Rach. We had a good fat chat. Anne came for her lesson at 12pm. It's a privilege to teach people how to play for church, especially when I have had prob 10 years of experience with playing in worship teams. It's quite amazing, how God has grown me in this ministry [mainly heart attitudes and character]. Kev then came for lunch. Phil and Kev have been gems in the area of preparing for my next few steps in singing and songwriting and record...

A spiritual self-portrait of Akiane

This one is called Co-creating. Right after my eleventh birthday I visualized my self portrait through the view of a canvas and through the eyes of the spirit. I hoped to express the joy of co-creating, and the awe of feelingGod's love and wisdom. -Akiane-

Akiane - check her out

I would have been mentioning the name AKIANE to people this Sunday. I am astounded and captivated. Read the story of Akiane [below], and here are some little samples of her paintings found on her website. I can't believe a little girl did this. Actually, I can. Because she is a vessel used by God to communicate his truth. A prophetic artist and poet. I long to be able to communicate like that. This picture is called Prince of Peace. Somehow, it communicates strength in Jesus's face that is lacking in many other pictures. There is strength, compassion, toughness, and love. Akiane Kramarik is an American child prodigy in the fields of art and poetry. Born July 9, 1994 in Mount Morris, Illinois, she was the third of four children born to a Lithuanian mother and an American father. She also has Jewish, Polish, Hungarian, Slovak, Russian, Bohemian, Chinese, French, Danish and German heritage. Although the family was very poor, the children created their own fun using their imaginat...

Random thoughts

Throughout the day, I think of different things that will be great to blog about, but I never remember them. How sad. All the enlightenment and truth and great ideas lost because someone doesn't remember..haha.. I thought I should start blogging about music soon, as it is supposed to be what I do for a living. Maybe soon. Tomorrow is Sunday. I had a very busy Saturday. I taught for 3-4 hours, I had worship practice, I balanced all my lagging accounts, and I rushed to Southbank to rehearse a recording arrangement with a colleague. Phew. I want my baking, dinner with friends Saturdays back please. Jos, if you're reading this, don't you miss me baking for you and then scolding me for making you fat? Sigh. Good night and may God purify our hearts in this season of fasting.

Words

It's been a harrowing week. Work was all normal, which was comforting. But I'm trying to be careful not to turn to work for comfort and use it to numb the emptiness or pain I need to fill with Jesus. We've had dramas with the house. Dramas to me anyway, because I have struggled with anger issues against my real estate agents on and off for a year. Anytime I feel mistreated or not respected for who I really am, there is this surge of anger within me that consumes my mind. I believe the Devil takes advantage of it and sends a troop to start whispering more and more negative thoughts. On Thursday, our agents required us to clean the house of very minor details again. My housemates were annoyed, as we had tried to do a very thorough job. But I was boiling. I couldn't even sleep on Thursday night because all I could feel was my blood pressure, and racing heart and angry angry thoughts. They were plainly malicious and murderous and I felt parylysed by them. I went to collect ...
